EDWARDS- Michael J. Barbarito, age 72, of Edwards, NY, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2019 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. He was born on February 4, 1947 in New York City, NY to the late Michael F. and Grace (Fline) Barbarito. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 1967. He married Cynthia Palmer on June 2, 1973. Michael retired from CIVES Steel in Gouverneur. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting-especially rabbit hunting with his dogs, fishing and spending time with family and friends. If you knew Mike, you knew how he loved telling stories. He told them to anyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cynthia; a daughter, Renae Rowe; two sons, Scott Barbarito and Michael S. Barbarito; six grandsons and one granddaughter; two brothers and two sisters and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mike's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are being handled with French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Donations may be made in Mike's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of CNY, 441 West Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204.
