Cindy and Family:
We were shocked and so very sad to hear that Mike had died. I always enjoyed walking past your home with my little dog, Scotty, and watching Ruby, Dink, the hounds and the other pets you and Mike enjoyed so much. Mike told me about his adventures as a young boy, helping his Dad in their Lower East Side Parking Garage Building in Manhattan.
(You know, the ticket for driving a car at 9 years old!! LOL) I think he had a lot of fun there.
I grew up across the harbor, on Staten Island, and was happy to connect with another "transplant"!
Mike and you sold us one of his Beagle-Basset puppies many years ago. Snickers was a wonderful pet for our young daughter and we loved that dog until he passed away. We cried. You may have seen Herbie W. walking Snickers. Herbie loved Snickers as much as we did.
We will miss Mike, his humor, stories, and enthusiasm for animals, wild and domestic. Cindy, please accept our sympathy for your loss and our prayers for you and your Family as you grieve.
