MACOMB- Bret W. Martin, age 64, Macomb, NY passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his home under the care of his family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

Bret was born on December 30, 1959 in Glens Falls, NY to the late Harold and Nathalie (LaPoint) Martin. He graduated from Johnsburg Central School in North Creek, NY in 1978, then he entered into the United States Marine Corp in 1979 and served until his honorable discharge in 1983. Following the Marine Corp, he entered into the Academy and became a State Trooper, where he worked for Troop B in Ogdensburg until his retirement in 2009.

Bret married Cindy Thornton on October 6, 1984 in Kenyontown, NY. He was a member of the Macomb Town Board for many years and a member of the NRA. He enjoyed his farm, hunting, fishing and was an avid reader.

Surviving is his wife, Cindy; two children, Mackenzie Martin and Matthew Martin; two brothers, James and Thomas Martin; two granddaughters Elise Harris and Alice Martin.

Bret is predeceased by his father, Harold Martin; his mother, Nathalie Sharrow and a sister, Nikki Martin.
