Obituary of Russell E. Facey

RUSSELL- Russell E. Facey, Sr., age 57, of Russell, NY passed away on April 7, 2013 at his home unexpectedly. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Russell was born on July 7, 1955 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Eugene and Beulah R. (Rice) Facey. He served in the United States Marines. Russell married Janet M. Taylor on March 22, 1980. He was a self employed carpenter for many years and had previously worked for the O.W.D. Factory in Tupper Lake for a few years. He grew up in Edwards, NY living in area until moving to their home in Russell in 1988. Russell loved his animals including cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys and rabbits on his hobby farm at his home. He also enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and spending time with his granddaughters. Russell is survived by his wife, Janet of Russell; two sons, Russell "Rusty" Facey Jr. and Joseph "Joe" Facey both of Russell; four granddaughters, Gabrielle and Nevaeh Facey, Jaylynn Cyrus and Johnnie Lynn Maloy; four brothers and their wives, Rodger and Kathleen Facey of Greenwood, SC, Robert and Blanche Facey of Edwards, Doug and Cheryl Facey of Fine and Daniel and Sherri Facey of Gouverneur; four sisters and their husbands, Evelyn and William Teasley of Grand Bay, AL, Janet Woods of Ogdensburg, Barbara and David Keith of Cato and Diane and Martin Reese of Talcville; a sister-in-law, Kaye Facey of Ogdensburg. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Richard Facey
