Obituary of Jonathon M. Easton

GOUVERNEUR – Jonathon M. Easton, age 31, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2019 at home. Calling hours will be held at the Mercy Point Church, 214 Rock Island Street, Gouverneur NY on Monday, September 9, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sean Silkwood officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Jon was born on January 8, 1988 in Potsdam to James Easton, Sr. and the late Jeannie (House) Easton. He attended school in Gouverneur and worked for the Heritage Knife Company in Balmat and for this family businesses, Skyline Roofing and Building and Easton Exteriors. Jon loved being outdoors. He loved to fish, ice fish, hunt, go four-wheeling and mow his lawn. A true artist, Jon spent hours on his drawings. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and wrestling. Above all else, he loved spending time with his Dad. Jon is survived by his father and step-mother, James and Janet Easton, his brother, James Easton, II and his wife, Carol, his sister, Jamie Storie and her companion, Sterling Butler, his step-brothers, Brian, David, and Robert Poole, and his nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother, Jeannie Easton and his brother-in-law, Kennedy Storie. Donations in memory of Jon may be made to an Epilepsy Foundation of your choice or to Gollisano's Children's Hospital.
