ALDRICH – Clarine R. Kerr, age 76, of Aldrich, passed away on July 25, 2019 at her home, where she wanted to be. There will be visitation held at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. followed by a brief prayer at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Fine. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Clarine was born on April 2, 1943 in Gouverneur to the late Clair W. and Ruth E. (House) Reynolds. She attended Gouverneur Central School and earned her GED later in life. Clarine married Charles Gaylord Kerr on February 10, 1960 at the Gouverneur Methodist Church. Together they raised 6 children while Gaylord worked three jobs. Clarine made sure to have a home cooked meal daily from scratch, the house and children were clean, and enjoyed her flower bed, her one-acre garden that allowed her to can the family's food. She enjoyed going for walks and sewing clothes, pillows and blankets. Her survivors include her husband, C. Gaylord Kerr; children, Tammy Simmons, Amy Fluno, Angela Kerr, Juanita Deloney, Melissa Norman, and Daro Kerr; brothers, Charles "Chuck" and Joel Reynolds, sister, Gloria Youngs, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers, Kenneth, Adelbert and John Reynolds; and sisters, Carolyn Hubbard and Nora Jean "Jeannie' Aldridge.
