We are thinking about Helena's family, and remembering with love her kind and generous spirit. We shared many fun and special times with she and Efton, and they were like grandparents to our own children. We miss them, and send our thoughts in your loss.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. Helena was a wonderful friend. She and my mom celebrated many birthdays together and enjoyed long talks on the phone. My dad worked for Helena's parents for a while. You were a great neighbor and will be greatly missed.
Our sincerest sympathy Harry and Nancy Turnbull

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Helena's passing. I used to love going to visit the farm. I remember one time going thru the kitchen, I had really long hair, and it got stuck in a fly catcher hanging from the ceiling. I also remember going out in the field near the barn and trying the salt lick. I also remember watching her all decked out and riding horses at the Gouverneur Fair. I am thinking of you and send my love. Debbie

Dear Ola, Efton, Joel, and Jamie, and families,
I just heard the news of Aunt Helena's passing and am so very sorry for your loss. I can't remember many childhood memories that don't include the McCrea home as a central part. Sliding down the hill into the garden in winter, going to the barn in summer, watching Dad and Aunt Helena show horses at the Gouverneur Fair, the list is endless. I remember once when Mom and Aunt Helena were baking and Joel and I were pestering them about something. We saw the bottle of apple cider vinegar on the table. All either of us knew was the word apple and the picture of the apple, so we begged them for a glass of apple cider. They obliged. What a shock when we took a big glug. Those were good days which I remember with great fondness. Know that I am thinking of you all and sending warm hugs. Love you all, Brad (and Beth)
