Obituary of Marie A. Antwine

EDWARDS - Marie A. Antwine, age 84, of Edwards, passed away at home on February 12, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. Marie was born on November 5, 1928 in Tully, NY to the late Arthur and Mildred (Grant) Bush. She graduated from Norfolk Central School in 1948. Marie married Edward L. Antwine on June 25, 1949 at the North Lawrence Methodist Parsonage with Rev. Frank Brown officiating. Edward passed away on September 20, 1989. Marie was a homemaker. She lived in Fine moving to South Edwards in 1982. Mrs. Antwine was a member of the South Edwards Methodist church. She always put family and friends first, and was a hard worker right from childhood. Marie was kind and considerate to everyone. She enjoyed being with her grandkids and their activities at school. She was truly and wonderful and beautiful grandma. She is survived by three sons and two daughter-in-laws Gerald E. and Alice of South Edwards, Timothy J. and Connie of South Edwards and Samuel D. and Lorrie of Fine; a daughter and son-in-law Lorna M. and Stephen Taylor of South Edwards; 2 grandchildren, Shaye and Dawson; and many nieces and nephews. Marie is predeceased by her siblings, Doris Hewitt, Fern Lenfest, and Harold, Geraldean, Merle, Keith, Leon and Milford Bush. There will be no calling hours. There will be a memorial service at French Funeral Home, Edwards in the spring followed by burial in the Antwine Family Cemetery in South Edwards.
