Obituary of Jenny Lynn Kent

ROSSIE/WEEDSPORT - Jenny Lynn (Storie) Kent, age 65 of 83 Third Drive, Weedsport, formerly of Rossie, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 27th at Crouse Hospital. Calling hours will be at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Hailesboro Cemetery at their family lot. Jenny was born in Gouverneur on December 27, 1953 to the late John P. and Ella L. (Brasie) Storie. She graduated from the Gouverneur High Scholl in 1972. After high school, Jenny was employed at M+S, Smith and Corona, WCR, J Line Toggs and the Sheraton and worked for degrees in K-6 substitute teacher and Home Health Aid Central NY. Jenny married the late Charles F. Kent on March 26, 1974 at the First Methodist Church Gouverneur. When she was younger Jenny loved to spend time writing poetry, gardening and fishing. She taught Sunday School at the Wheeler Baptist Church in Elbridge and has also attended many of churches in the Jordan-Elbridge area. After the death of her husband Charles in 2005, Jenny found love again with a long-time friend Gary Glover. Together they enjoyed fishing at the family camp at Yellow Lake, walking their dog Peanut, and spending time with their grandchildren. Jenny is survived by her children and their spouses, Timothy and Jessica Kent, Cathy and Joseph Weatherstone, Robert and Jill Kent, and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by her three brothers and their wives, Wayne and Betty Storie, Thomas and Caroline Storie and Robert and Darleen Storie; a sister-in-law, Linda Storie and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, husband and two brothers, Edward and Daniel Storie.
