Obituary of Carol A. Hendrick

EDWARDS – Carol A. Hendrick, age 63, of Edwards, passed away on December 22, 2018 at her home. Calling hours will be held at French Funeral Home in Edwards on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial in the South Edwards Cemetery will be in the spring. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Carol was born on April 12, 1955 to the late Clarence and Shirley (Weir) Paro. She graduated from the Edwards Central School and married John E. Hendrick, Sr. on April 14, 1972. John passed away on January 2, 2016. Mrs. Hendrick retired from E.J. Noble Hospital in Gouverneur where she worked in the Dietary Department and had previously been a baker for the P&C in Gouverneur, making their delicious donuts. Carol loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in the summer, to bowl, and plant flowers in her garden. She and John also enjoyed going to antique car shows. Her survivors include two sons, John Hendrick Jr. and Ray Hendrick and his wife, Anne; two sisters, Brenda Paro and Sharon Briggs; and two brothers, Raymond Paro and Clarence Paro. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Camerin Hendrick, Charles McDougle, Joshua Hughto, Colby Hughto and Zachary Hughto; and two great-grandchildren, Charleanna and Ashton Hughto. Carol in predeceased by her husband, John, and a daughter, Sherri Hendrick, who died at birth.
