Obituary of Timothy J. Shepherd

GOUVERNEUR/MOHAWK – Timothy J. Shepherd, age 52, formerly of Gouverneur and currently of Mohawk, passed away on September 16, 2018. Tim was born on November 22, 1965 in Gouverneur to Amy (Empson) Shepherd and the late Wayne Shepherd. He graduated from the Gouverneur Central School, attended SUNY Canton and graduated from SUNY Utica with a Bachelor's degree in nursing. Mr. Shepherd worked as a Registered Nurse for Rome Memorial Hospital for many years and most recently worked for St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica. He enjoyed playing the slots at casinos, playing video games and watching movies. He was a wonderful person whom everybody loved. Tim was great with his patients and didn't have an enemy in the world. He is survived by his mother, Amy Shepherd; a daughter, Jasmyn Shepherd of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; 4 sons, Gavin Shephard of Fort Mitchell, Alabama, Ryan Shepherd, Corey Shepherd and Brandon Shepherd, all of Little Falls; 2 brothers, Michael and Wayne "Cooter" Shepherd; 5 sisters, Jennifer Dusharm, Amanda Neuroth-Shepherd, Bobbie Jo Shepherd, Wendy Shepherd and Lena Bush; his girlfriend, Deanna Gonyea; and a close family friend, Lloyd Strobek. Tim is predeceased by his father, Wayne Shepherd; and a brother, John Shepherd. Funeral arrangements with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur are private.
