Obituary of Jeremy G. Dovel

RUSSELL – Jeremy G. Dovel, age 33, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2018, at his home. Jeremy was born on December 20, 1984 in Gouverneur to Clinton G. Dovel and Jeanette M. (Decoteau) Dovel. He graduated from Edwards-Knox Central School in 2003, attended St. Lawrence University for 2 years and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Florida State University. Jeremy had been working in the chemistry lab for Barrett Paving in Watertown. He previously worked for Esprix Technologies in Sarasota, Florida, and both Dow Chemical and Pepsi in Missouri. Jeremy was a brilliant guy who was very passionate about the environment. He loved working and learning in the woods. He liked to develop his land, cut firewood and build bridges. Jeremy played the saxophone and guitar; he was a member of the Mountain Oyster Jam Band in Florida. His hobbies included refurbishing saxophones, gardening and fixing mechanical things. He was a very caring person and loved animals. His survivors include his parents Clinton Dovel and Jeanette Dovel, siblings Zachary Dovel, Michael Perkins, Amy Koshinski, and aunts, uncles and a niece, Ashley Koshinski.
