Obituary of Charles L. Sayyeau

STAR LAKE- Charles L. Sayyeau, age 72, of Star Lake, passed away on May 4, 2018 at the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburg. Charles was born on June 27, 1945 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Charles J. and Demetra (Dillhyon) Sayyeau. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1963 and then attended JCC for a while. Charles married Janice McCulley on July 1, 1966 in Sackets Harbor. He worked at the Newton Falls Paper Mill for 27 years. After the paper mill he worked for Freeman Bus Garage for 5 years and then became a bus driver for Clifton-Fine Central School. He enjoyed fishing, CB radios, working mechanics and puttering on cars and watching football. Surviving is his wife, Janice; two daughters, Lynn E. Sayyeau of Burlington, VT and Andrea N. and Ron Eibert of Star Lake; a son, Scott and Darlene Sayyeau of New Mexico; a brother, Steven and Sherry Sayyeau of Watertown; a sister, Sandra Martin of Watertown; two grandsons, Brandon and Connor; a granddaughter, Hannah; two step grandchildren, John and Rachael and two great granddaughters, Sophia and Layla. Charles is predeceased by a brother, Christopher Sayyeau. As per his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake.
