Obituary of Barbara J. Fuller

STAR LAKE – Barbara J. Fuller, age 77, of Star Lake, passed away on September 4, 2017 at home under the loving care of her family and hospice. Calling hours will be held at the Oswegatchie Baptist Church on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. immediately followed by her funeral service at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Benjamin officiating. Burial will be in the Oswegatchie Cemetery. There will be a luncheon after the burial held at the Clifton-Fine Community Center. Barbara was born on April 8, 1940 in Ogdensburg to the late William and Lucy (Barber) Johnston. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and married Glenn R. Fuller on June 6, 1987 in Richville officiated by Rev. Stanley Brown. Barbara worked at many jobs, but especially loved owning and operating Barb's Yarn Shop in Gouverneur from 1979 until 1985. She and Glenn made and sold their famous donuts in the area for many years. Barb was well loved and will be missed. She loved drinking Coke and eating chocolate. Barb collected Coke Products and chickens, enjoyed cross-stitching, and her work for the Census Bureau. She was a Sunday School Teacher for the Oswegatchie Baptist Church for many years, where she also was a former Treasurer and Trustee; and was a Deaconess from 1992 until 1999. Her survivors include her husband, Glenn; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Rodney Tebo; three sisters, Peggy Denny, Beverly and Coke Perry, and Donna and Fred Bennett. She is predeceased by two sisters, Irene Kelly and Betty Chambers; and a step-son, Aaron Fuller.
