Obituary of April A. Law

LISBON – April A. Law, age 50, of Lisbon, passed away on April 6, 2017 in a motor vehicle accident. Calling hours will be held at French Funeral Home, 16 Barnes Street, Gouverneur NY 13642 on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Father Shane Lynch officiating. A Celebration of Life is being planned for Saturday, April 15th at the Lisbon Fire Department from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. April was born on June 2, 1966 in Gouverneur to the late Harold Charles Law, Jr. and Lillian (Gaumes) Law. She attended the Gouverneur Central School and studied cosmetology at BOCES. April worked as a CNA for both the United Helpers RiverLedge Nursing Home and for Caregivers of Canton. April was a hard worker with a wonderful personality. She loved to talk, make various crafts, and to spend time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Lisbon Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Her survivors include her fiancé, Randal Warriner of Lisbon; three children, Charles and Grace Barbarito, Danielle and Peter Beckstead, and Justin Barbarito; 7 siblings, Bernie Law, Timothy Law, Deborah Lutz, Tina Law, Kevin Law, Chris Law, and Billie Jo Holly; and 6 grandchildren with one more on the way. April is predeceased by her parents and a brother, Ricky Law. Donations in memory of April may be made to the Lisbon Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary, 7002 Co. Rt. 10, Lisbon NY 13658.
