Obituary of Jeffrey J. Hill

PHILADELPHIA – Jeffrey J. Hill, age 53, passed away on March 18, 2017 at the Hospice Residence of Jefferson County in Watertown. There will be calling hours held at 2 Garden Road, Philadelphia on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Private burial in the Fairview Cemetery in Edwards will be at a later date. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Jeff was born on June 7, 1963 in Watertown to Jack J. Hill and Linda L. (Hall) Hill. He graduated from the Indian River High School in 1982 and worked as an Environmental Field Technician for Blasland, Bouck, and Lee Environmental Engineering and Consulting Co. in Syracuse. A marriage to Julie Kent ended in divorce. Jeff enjoyed fishing, boating and having nice cars and trucks. He liked to play and watch football and to watch NASCAR. His survivors include his mother, Linda Hill and her companion, Ron Spicer of Philadelphia; two daughters, Jenna and Jadyn Hill of Virginia; three sisters, Judy Ann and Michael Jones of Machesney Park, IL, Jacqueline May of Evans Mills, NY, and Jody Lynn and Kevin Hofer of Pensacola, FL; and his uncle, Grant Hall of Philadelphia.
