GOUVERNEUR – Margaret Lucille Kolbe, age 78, of Gouverneur passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 4, 2016.

Margaret was born on August 7, 1937 in Piscataway, MD to the late Robert Vincent and Ida Natalie (Berry) Windsor. She married Francis Walter Kolbe on June 15, 1956. The couple owned and operated the Rocky Ridge Beef Farm in Gouverneur for 20 years. Francis passed away on November 24, 2015.
Her survivors include a daughter, Margaret Lucille and Diodoro Duran; five sons, Francis Walter Kolbe, Jr., Joseph Glenn and Patricia Kolbe, James Everett and Maria Genie Kolbe, John Paul and Linda Kolbe, and Ralph Daniel Kolbe. She is also survived by three brothers, Joe, James "Willie", and Thomas Windsor; 20 grandchildren including Joanna Sergel whom she raised; and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Margaret is predeceased by parents; her husband; a son, Robert Michael Kolbe; and 5 siblings.
