Obituary of Wayne R. Spahr

LYON MOUNTAIN- Wayne R. Spahr, Jr., age 53, of Lyon Mountain, NY, passed from this life on May 29, 2016 in Rochester, NY. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 5 at French Funeral Home in Gouverneur with Gary Tweedie, Jr. bringing the message. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown. Wayne was born in Bath, NY on August 14, 1962 to Wayne R. and Joyce D. (Mellott) Spahr. He attended Dundee Central School and Penn Manor High School, graduating in 1980. Wayne worked in Medical Equipment sales and service for many years. Wayne liked to travel, visiting such places as Ireland, Alaska and the Caribbean. He enjoyed writing fiction, camping with the Girl Scouts, participating in events with Ekrub players and Whitey and Flo's campouts. Wayne is survived by his father, Wayne and Pauline Spahr of Rochester, MN; sisters, Colleen and Gary Tweedie Jr. of Gouverneur, Catrina Spahr of Watertown, KMarie Reid of Rochester, MN and Nadine Noble of NYC; a brother, Donald Noble of Rochester, MN; Nephews Nigel, Ethan, Vincent, George, Damon and Xavier and nieces Heather, Mia and Sydney. He also had the opportunity to share his life with 3 beautiful wives, Lorrie Jacqueline and Angela and his step children Shonni and Darien.
