GOUVERNEUR- Christopher F. Rose, age 33, of Gouverneur, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse after complications from an accident.

Calling hours for Chris will be on Monday, April 18, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. His funeral service will be on Tuesday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m. at the Gouverneur Elk's Lodge with Pastor David Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow at Fine view Cemetery in Hammond, following the burial; there will be a Celebration of Life at the Hammond Community Center. Chris was born on April 4, 1983 in Melbourne, FL to Sandy Youngs and Daniel Rose. He attended Hammond Central School and then went to work right away on various farms. He worked for Paul Mahay, John Mitchell and John Morrison on their farms. In 2011 he began to work for Contech Building Systems in Gouverneur as a laborer and a contractor. He enjoyed ice fishing, fishing, playing on his toys, playing with the kids, and was always working on something. He was one who was always willing to help others!

Surviving are his mother, Sandy Youngs; his father, Daniel Rose; paternal grandmother, Sylvia Rose; a brother, John Rose and his wife Rebecca; his fiancé Julieanne LaBow and his seven children, Steven, Jeremy, Ryan, Ethan, Landon, Triton and Jerica Rose and his fiancé Julieanne's son, Julien Storie. And several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews
