Obituary for John E. Hendrick, Sr.




EDWARDS – John E. Hendrick, Sr., age 63, of Edwards, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 2, 2016.



John was born on June 29, 1952 in Canton, NY to the late Clinton Hendrick, Sr. and Helen (Lamour) Hendrick. He attended the Edwards Central School and married Carol A. Paro on April 14, 1972. The couple had their 43rd Wedding Anniversary in 2015.



John worked for the Newton Falls Paper Mill for 29 years and loved antique cars. John and Carol went to many car shows all over and enjoyed it. John always wanted to live in the country. He liked to hunt, fish, go camping and canoeing. He was a skilled woodworker and liked tending his garden.



John is survived by his wife, Carol Hendrick; sons, John Hendrick, Jr. and Ray and Anne Hendrick; siblings, Clinton Hendrick Jr., Beatrice Blackburn, Robert Hendrick, and Linda Weir. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Camerin Hendrick and Charles McDougle; and his nieces and nephews.



He is predeceased by a daughter, Sherri Hendrick, who died at birth.
