Obituary of Yvonne "Joy" Caton

WANAKENA- Yvonne Joy Caton, age 74, of Wanakena, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at The House of John in Clifton Springs, NY. There will be calling hours for Joy on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake. Her funeral mass will be on Saturday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hubert's Church in Star Lake with Fr. Stephen Rocker officiating. There will be a reception immediately following the service in the basement of the church. A burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. There will be a memorial service in the Rochester area at a later date to be announced. Joy was born on January 9, 1941 in Burns, Oregon to the late Lloyd and Orbly (Reynolds) Harris. She graduated high school and then went on and received her Associates degree from Monroe Community College. Joy married Ronald Caton on July 17, 1958 in Burns, Oregon. Ron passed away on February 9, 2013. Joy enjoyed sewing and reading and was very active in the Catholic Church. Surviving are three sons and their wives, Mark and Maria, Matt and Karen and Miles and Julie; eight grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Tim, Jonathan, Ben, Hope, Travis and Kendall; and her special friend, Jesse Streeter. Joy is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ronald; a son, Kenneth; a sister, Beulah; and two brothers Jack and Jean.
