Obituary of Michael T. Jenkins

GOUVERNEUR – Michael T. Jenkins, age 58, of Gouverneur, passed away on July 25, 2015 at the Gouverneur Hospital. Calling hours will be at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. His graveside service will be on Friday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville. Mike was born on March 8, 1957 in Gouverneur to Thelma Ruth (Bott) Jenkins and the late Wendell W. Jenkins. He graduated from the Gouverneur Central School in 1975. Mike had worked as a dairy farmer for many years and also worked for E.J. Noble Hospital and at the veneer plant in Heuvelton. Most people know Mike as the owner and operator of Mike's Lawn Service. He was a hard worker who took pride in what he did. His survivors include his mother, Ruth Jenkins; three children, Jeffrey, Clayton, and Kellie Jenkins; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Michael Morrissiey; and a brother and sister-in-law, David and Sandra Jenkins. He is predeceased by his father, Wendell Jenkins; a brother, Steven Jenkins; and a daughter Lisa Marie Jenkins who died in infancy.
