RICHVILLE – Gary Allen Gilbo, Sr., age 60, of Richville, passed away on March 13, 2015 at his home under the care of his loving family and Hospice.
There will be no funeral service. Arrangements are being handled by French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Gary was born on September 24, 1954 in Canton to the late Roland J. and Grace (McCollum) Gilbo. After high school, Gary attended a cooking school in Maine where he excelled in baking.
He married Ardith E. Richards on November 21, 1980 in Madrid. Gary worked as a physical laborer for a wood factory in Maine, at the country's largest junkyard where he dismantled trains and vehicles, and worked for Lasurdo's Cheese Plant in Heuvelton.
Gary loved fishing, hunting, trapping and playing hunting games on his computer. He was a great cook who made baking fine pastries his specialty.
His survivors include his wife, Ardith; three children, Richard Gilbo, Brenda Buckley and Gary Gilbo, Jr.; five brothers, Joe, Richard, Fred, Mike and Pat; and several grandchildren.
Gary is predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Donna and Cheryl Gilbo.
Donations in memory of Gary may be made to Richville Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
