GOUVERNEUR – Rodger S. Fuller, Sr., age 80, of Gouverneur, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the River Ledge Nursing Home in Ogdensburg.
There will be a graveside service in the spring held in the Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home.
Rodger was born on May 26, 1934 in Amboy, NY to the late Stanley and Pearl (Ingham) Fuller. He graduated from the Gouverneur Central School in 1952. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and genealogy.
Rodger married Janet M. Young on November 15, 1957 at the Gouverneur Methodist Church with Rev. Stanley Brown officiating. He was a retired iron worker, having worked for Riverside Ironworks in Gouverneur for 34 years. He had previously worked construction for Rouse Construction.
His survivors include his wife, Janet Fuller; two sons, Rodger Jr. and his wife, Polly; John and his companion, Amy Hubbard; and a daughter, Gayla Jo Cole and her husband, Donald. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Tiffanee, Joe, Pauline, Danielle, Chelsea, and Logan; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Rodger is predeceased by a daughter, Maureen Fuller; and a sister, Shirley Rickett.
