Obituary of Lyle E. Law

PITCAIRN- Lyle E. Law, age 80, of Pitcairn, NY passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Carthage Area Hospital. There will be a memorial service for Lyle at the New Beginnings Assembly of God Church in South Edwards on Thursday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m. with Lay Speaker Judy Tupper officiating. Lyle was born on September 11, 1934 in Pierrepont, NY to the late Herbert and Doris (Hogle) Law. He attended Pierrepont Central School. On January 11, 1957 he married Thea J. Fowler at the Russell Pilgrim Holiness Parsonage. Lyle was a self employed logger and pulpier for twelve years. Previously he worked at various jobs throughout his life. He enjoyed listening to country music, playing his violin and guitar and feeding his birds. Surviving is his wife, Thea of Pitcairn; five sons and their wives, Ed and Cheryl Law of S. Edwards, Michael and Shirley Law of Harrisville, Randall Law of Watertown, Jeffrey and Candy Law of Sodus, NY and Dennis Law of Liberty, NY; four daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Paul Desormo of Bushnell, FL, Trudy and Arthur Desormo of Watertown, Kathy and Robert Damon of Dexter and Michelle and Chris Turturro of Harrisville; a brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Gwen Law of Depeyster; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Frieda Snell of Hermon, Irene and Joe Durham of Fine, Ilene and John Jesmer of S. Edwards and Iris and Henry Waugh of Talcville. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. Lyle is predeceased by a son, Timothy Law and a sister, Bonnie Lewis.
