HERMON- Lara L. Brozzo, age 66, of Hermon, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. Lara was born on April 16, 1948 in Gouverneur to the late Joseph and Velna (Merrill) Roberts. She attended Gouverneur Central School. She married Harold E. "Slug" Brozzo on April 16, 1993. He passed away on May 17, 2012. Lara had worked as a nurse's aid at United Helpers in Canton before going into home health care through CDP, also in Canton. She enjoyed knitting, reading her bible and taking care of her grandchildren. Lara is survived by two sons, Joseph Tyler of New Orleans, LA and Alvin Payne II of Columbus, OH; a daughter and son-in-law, Carlin and Chad Facey of Hermon; three step sons and their wives, Mike and Dolly Brozzo of Kentucky, George and Yvette Brozzo of Boykins, VA and Daniel and Gwen Brozzo of New Mexico; a sister and her husband, Sharon and Harry Chilton of Chula Vista, CA; and eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
