Cicero - Richard F. Hubbard, age 93, formerly of the Norwood, area passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse. Calling hours will be at French Funeral Home, Edwards on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. His funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert L. Billings officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery, Fine. Richard was born on July 26, 1920 in The Town of Fine, NY to the late Charles and Almina (Durham) Hubbard. He attended the Vrooman Ridge School in Fine and married Mildred L. Durham on February 9, 1943 at the Oswegatchie Baptist Parsonage. Mildred passed away on February 17, 2014. Mr. Hubbard worked as a dairy farmer and then worked at the Potsdam Paper Mill until his retirement in 1982. He was a former member of the Norwood Free Methodist Church. He is survived by two sons, Leslie of Clay and Lloyd of Cicero; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Richard is predeceased by his wife, Mildred and their son, Larry Hubbard; two sisters, Bertha Durham and Ida Hubbard, and six brothers, Cedric, Warren, Harold, Leslie, Lee and John Hubbard.
