FOWLER – Ralph C. House, age 83, of Fowler, passed away at home on November 12, 2024 under the loving care of his family and Hospice.

Ralph was born on November 21, 1940 in Gouverneur, a child of the late Elmer and Hazel (Watson) House. He attended school in Gouverneur and married Patricia "Pat" Rye on October 4, 1969 by the Justice of the Peace in Heuvelton.

Ralph started out working in carpentry before becoming a diesel mechanic. He worked for various garages including Flack Bus Lines, Indian River Bus Garage and for Spilman's Garage. He enjoyed restoring old Farm-All Tractors, Cub Cadet tractors, and old Dodge Trucks. Ralph loved fishing and boating with his wife, Pat, hunting, and camping. He was a talented guitar player and singer, having played in numerous local bands.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Patricia A. House, nine children, Robin Stone, Delbert House, Barbara Woodrow and her partner, Bill Mandigo, Penny Lamar and her husband Lance, Ora House, Mark House and his wife, Cathy, Sheree Cook and her husband Fred, Karen Shinski and her husband Mike, and Amy House and her partner, Rusty Hartle, four siblings, Floyd House and his partner, Darla Dashnaw, Keith House, Lucy Merritt and her husband Larry, and Bruce House and his wife, Pauline. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-grandson.

He is predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Doreen House, a son, Leslie House, a brother, Elmer "Butch" House, a grandson, Richard "Ricky" Daniell, Jr., a great-great grandson, Griffinn Lee Fuller, and sisters-in-law, Mary Lou House and Mary House.
