FULTON- Patricia M. Towne, age 78, of Fulton, NY and formerly of Gouverneur, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Oswego Hospital.

There will be calling hours French Funeral Home, Gouverneur on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at. Her funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Patricia was born on March 21, 1946 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Addison and Harriet (Aldrich) Dashner. She attended Gouverneur School. On December 12, 1965, Patricia married Kenneth A. Towne Sr. at the Gouverneur Methodist Church. Ken passed away on June 24, 2011. Patricia worked as a bus driver for Oswego County Opportunities for many years and was a foster parent for many disable children. She was the community grandmother with a heart of gold. She would give anyone the shirt off her back.

Surviving is two sons, Rick and Kenneth (Tina) Towne; four daughters, Laurel (Gary) Mashaw, Tammy Towne, Theresa Jensen and Cheryl Towne; a brother, Howard Dashner; two sisters, Elizabeth "Libby" Dashner and Stella Rumble; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Patricia is predeceased by her husband; her parents; five brothers, Paul, Richard, Merton, Roger and Joseph; and a sister, Charlotte Whitney.
