STAR LAKE – Nancy S. Kerr, age 78, of Star Lake, passed away on October 5, 2024 at Clifton-Fine Hospital. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Michael's Cemetery in Fine. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Nancy was born on July 24, 1946 in Carthage to the late Elmer and Mary (Sementelli) Shortt. She graduated from Augustinian Academy in Carthage in 1964 and worked as an Administration Clerk for Mercy Hospital in Watertown for 23 years before retiring in 2001. Nancy married Eric "E" W. Kerr on September 2, 1989. She was a super-great Mom and woman with a heart of gold. Nancy would do anything for anyone. She enjoyed knitting, fishing, target practice, downhill skiing, boating, and riding in the side-by-side. She is survived by her husband, Eric W. Kerr, three children, Tracy Lynn Prashaw and her husband, Donald, Erin Elizabeth Nevills, and Matthew Kellogg Young, two sisters, Debra Shortt and Karin Poitras and her husband, Tom, three grandchildren, Michael Fuller, Bryce Young, and Bryn Lee Young, and two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Keaton Prashaw. Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Elmer and Mary Shortt and a sister, Sharon McIlroy.
