Vera will be remembered for her great laugh, so many memories of our families when the kids were all young and at home. There was much visiting each other during the early years, with Tom and Vera living above us on the Mezo place outside of Copenhagen, then Cindy was born, Life was nicer with Vera there, her friendship meant a lot. As time past and the families grew, Tom and Vera moved to Antwerp, life was getting too busy for both of our families and only saw each other on occasions and during the yearly family picnic at Moms and Pops. Then Larry and Annie sometimes went to Antwerp for a couple of days and I remember Tommy coming to Mom and Pops for a couple of days to visit. Taking Mom to the bus station in Watertown to catch the bus to your place. Once in a great while we made the trip up to visit a couple of hours on a Sunday between chores. As the kids starting getting married and moving out, things didn't seem to slow down any, with the grandchildren coming for everyone things just seemed to get more crazy. So we mostly relied on the telephone and the mail to keep in touch. She is a person that we will never forget and know that she is in a better place now and keeping everyone in stitches. Jim, Tommy, Anna and Family,
Thinking of you and wishing you all peace and comfort during this time. Your mother was a wonderful person. Whenever I met her, either at St. James School or at the Hammond 4-H Agricultural Fair, she always had a beautiful smile and a sparkle in her eyes. There is no one in this world like your mother. She was a special person, and she will always be with you. A mother's love is definitely eternal. Hold on to that infinite love and let it be your guiding life. May all your wonderful memories of her comfort you. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
