GOUVERNEUR- Judy L. Hays, age 75, of Gouverneur, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at her sister Joanne's home under the care of her family and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.

Judy was born on February 15, 1949 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Llewlyn and Nathalie (Nightengale) O'Donnell. She attended Gouverneur High School. Judy married Ellsworth Hays on January 13, 1973 and raised her children. She enjoyed crocheting, and looking up ancestry. She was also the matriarch in putting together the family reunions.

Surviving is her husband of 51 years, Ellsworth Hays; her children Christopher and Trudy Allen, Cynthia and Lonnie Besaw and Tena and Don Moles; her step children, Dennis and Dale Hays, Daniel Hays, Roxanne and Dennis Hartley and Amy Mulvaney; three brothers, Michael and Michele O'Donnell, Martin O'Donnell and Richard and Katrina O'Donnell; three sisters, Jacqueline Hays, Joanne Finton and Jody and David Streeter and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Judy is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Mark and Llewlyn O'Donnell; and three sisters, Jerry Robinson, Joyce O'Donnell and Jennifer O'Donnell.
