STAR LAKE- Douglas J. Provost Jr., age 56, of Star Lake, NY passed away on August 26, 2024 at his home.

There will be a celebration of his life on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the American Legion starting at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home, Star Lake. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Doug was born on March 9, 1968 in Star Lake, NY to the late Douglas J. and Sally M. (Clement) Provost. He attended Clifton-Fine Central School and then went on to receive his diploma in 1992. On March 9, 2005, he married Tina Farnsworth.

Doug owned and operated Doug's Contracting for many years. He enjoyed fishing, trapping, camping, hunting and was always tinkering on stuff. Doug was well known and respected in his community.

Surviving is his wife, Tina; three children, Jerrad Farnsworth, Kimberly O'Connor and Kelly Sanchez; three sisters, Janet Provost, Judy Bomyea and Jane Wisner; six grandchildren, Brycen, Naveah, Aniyah, Ameliah, Machenzie and Boston; and several nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Doug's memory to the Star Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
