GOUVERNEUR- Frederick "Fred" H. Law, age 66, of Gouverneur, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital in Syracuse after battling a lengthy illness.

Frederick was born on February 16, 1958 in Star Lake, NY to Percy and Elaine (Thivierge) Law. He graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School in 1976. He entered into the United States Navy and served until his honorable discharge in 1981. On December 31, 2004, he married Tina Berry at the home of Justice of Peace, Evelyn Horton.

Fred worked as a truck driver for various companies, last place being Swift in Syracuse, NY. Fred enjoyed working on cars and painting them. He also liked working on farm tractors.

Surviving is his wife, Tina; a son, James Law; a daughter, Andrea Kerr; his father, Percy Law; three brothers, David, Steven and Jeffrey Law; three sisters, Joanne Law, Laurie Spicer and Cheri Kelley; three grandchildren, Lyndon, Brennon and Gracie and several nieces and nephews.

Fred is predeceased by his mother, Elaine; two sisters, Louise Law and Linda Parmeter, nephews, Steven and Jared, and his step mother, Maxine Law.
