Obituary of Sarah E. Rayburn

Please share a memory of Sarah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
GOUVERNEUR – Sarah Elizabeth Rayburn, age 38, of Gouverneur, passed away suddenly at home on July 8, 2024. Sarah was born on January 5, 1986 in Ogdensburg to Brenda Lee Rayburn and the late Patrick Denoncourt. She graduated with Honors from Lisbon Central School. Sarah has worked as a Customer Service Representative for ProAct in Gouverneur for the past 3 years. She had previously worked as a Home Health Assistant for Health Services in Potsdam. She is survived by her mother, Brenda Rayburn, husband, Samuel Roesnergilles, son, Jakkee Alton Karris Roesnergilles, brother, Bradan Dickinson, sister and brother-in-law, Olivia and Dan Willmart, and nieces, Hadley and Paisley, as well as Grandma, Elizabeth Rayburn and mother-in-law, Elisabeth Chamblin. She also left behind 3 cats that she loved dearly, who will be looking for her every day, Charger, Binky, and Nelly. Sarah is predeceased by her (Poppa)Grandfather, Harold Alton Rayburn, her father, Patrick Denoncourt, and her daughter, Lydia Nicole Rayburn. Sarah loved her family deeply and unconditionally, but you didn't have to be blood to be her family. She had a pension for adopting wayward souls. Because of her love, Jakkee has extra aunts, grandmas and aunties. She was very quiet and reserved when it came to herself, but was a lion when it came to fighting for others. No matter what the circumstances were, if someone was in need Sarah wanted to help. As a result, she has also left behind countless others who need not be named, but still share her family's loss. Though she wouldn't always admit it, she was a natural mother and made sure that those around her knew she cared. She would go above and beyond to do for others, especially after she discovered Temu. She always hoped that all of her family would be taken care of, no matter what happened. She believed in celebrating people's lives, not mourning their passing. She grew into an even more amazing woman than she was when Sam met her 10 years ago. The major sadness of all of this is that she had become within the past 3 years, more hopeful and excited about the future. She touched many more lives than she could ever realize. The world is a little darker without her light. She will forever be in our hearts, in our memories, and in the eyes of her children. There will be a memorial service for Sarah on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
