OSWEGATCHIE- Linda J. Wood, age 82, of Oswegatchie, NY passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Clifton-Fine Hospital in Star Lake.

There will be a graveside service for Linda on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Gates Cemetery in Edwards. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Linda was born on May 18, 1942 in Star Lake, NY to the late Claude and Eunice (Webb) Carpenter. She attended Clifton-Fine School. On July 10, 1959, she married Donald T. Wood Sr. at the Fine Methodist Church. Donald passed away on October 20, 2012.

Linda was the Post Master at the Fine Post Office for many years. She was a lifetime member of the Fine Home Bureau. She enjoyed knitting, traveling to Florida with her husband and going on road trips.

Surviving is a son, Donald T. and Becky Wood Jr.; two daughters, Jeanette Wood and Arleen Borrelli; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Wood; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren with one on the way.

Linda is predeceased by her husband, her parents, a son Fredrick Wood, and two sisters, Claudia Bebee and Elizabeth Bogardus.
