RUSSELL – Carol Lee Whitmore, age 67, of Russell, passed away on April 18, 2024 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.

Carol Lee was born on March 16, 1957 in Star Lake to the late Peter W. and Leona G. (Smith) Decoteau. She graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School and from SUNY Canton with a degree in nursing. Carol Lee worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Lawrence County Public Health and for various other places. She also did psychological evaluations for I-Pro. A marriage to William Whitmore ended in divorce.

Carol Lee was a very spiritual person who enjoyed giving psychic readings.

She is survived by two sons, William "Billy" Whitmore, Jr., and David W. Whitmore, both of Russell, a brother, Dale Decoteau, and two sisters, Melanie Kring and her husband, Larry, and Jeanette Perkins and her husband, Michael Perkins. She is also survived by a grandson, Tayden Whitmore.

Carol Lee is predeceased by her parents and a nephew, Jeremy Dovel.
