GOUVERNEUR- Jamie L. Absalon, age 54, of Gouverneur, NY passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at his home.

Jamie was born on September 1, 1969 to the late John J. and Shirley A. (Hart) Absalon. He attended Gouverneur Central School. He worked as an auto mechanic for Motors and More in Watertown for many years and then ended up working at Tripp Fuels until he became disabled. Jamie was always tinkering on cars. He loved his girls and his granddaughters.

Surviving is his longtime companion and high school sweetheart, Amy Lynde; their two daughters, Kayla Absalon and Raelynn Absalon; five granddaughters, Jasey, Noelle, Everlee, Verity and Malia; a brother and his companion, Steven Absalon and Melanie Turnbull; three sisters and their spouses, Clover and Jeff Forsythe, Robin and Robert Ordway and Krista Absalon.
