GOUVERNEUR – Steven Ernest Jackson, Jr., "Big Steve", passed away on March 13, 2024 at home.

Visitation will be held at French Funeral Home in Gouverneur on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at the Gouverneur Community Center from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Steve was born on May 3, 2001 to the late Steven E. Jackson, Sr. and Teresa Lynn (Cooper) Jackson. He grew up in Cairo, NY and the Catskills before moving to Gouverneur in 2015. He graduated from Gouverneur Central School in 2020.

Big Steve loved playing football, driving his truck, and to party. He loved his friends and family and had a super big heart. He would help anybody in need and give them the shirt off his back.

He is survived by his 4 siblings, Donnie DeBault, Gizzelle Jackson, Hudson Tice, and William Tice, step-mother, Donielle DeBault, 5 nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family members. He is predeceased by his parents, a sister, Teresa Jackson Pitt, Jr., and a nephew, Marley.
