Obituary of Jack L. Clark

EDWARDS – Jack L. Clark, age 77, of Edwards, passed away on December 25, 2023 at Gouverneur Hospital. Calling hours will be held at French Funeral Home in Edwards on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, Edwards. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Jack was born on January 27, 1946 in Gouverneur to the late Emery and Margaret (LaRose) Clark. He attended school in Gouverneur and married Deborah Boyle on November 9, 1964 at St. Patrick's Church in Port Henry, NY. Jack was a self-employed contractor, operating Clark's General Contracting. He had previously worked as a miner for Republic Steel, St. Joe Mineral Corp, and in the Glasier's Union. He was a former member of the Edwards Fire Department and Edwards Snowmobile Club, and enjoyed camping, traveling, boating, snowmobiling, hunting, and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Clark, two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Shirley Clark and David and Aimee Clark, a sister, Doris Green, and two grandchildren, Amanda and Derek and his wife, Kaitlyn, and three great-grandchildren, Noah, Silas, and Nash.
