GOUVERNEUR- Jeana M. (Ashley) Matott, age 47, passed away on December 21, 2023 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She is the daughter of the late Nelson "Sam" Ashley and Carole (Kirkpatrick) Ashley.
Jeana lived her life the way she wanted to. She didn't care what people thought or had to say. She did what she wanted, sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad. Some might say it was selfish, but to her she didn't care. She was wild, she was daring, she was fun, she was mean, but most of all, for anyone that came in contact with her, she was well liked and loved. Jeana told it how it was, said what she wanted to say, spoke the truth and when need be, she took care of business!!
She loved her dogs more than most people, besides her son Dylan and she loved him with everything she had in her. They were truly one and the others BEST FRIEND!
Jeana is survived by her son Dylan Miller and his companion Zoel Houley; her step son, Jon Matott; her mother, Carole Ashley; a brother, Danny Ashley and his fiancé Patrica Kerr, a sister, Christina and her husband Jared Hartle; a brother, Justin and Sally Tamblin and her nieces and nephews that she loved so dearly. She is predeceased by her father, Nelson "Sam" Ashley.
In keeping with Jeana's wishes, there will be no services. The family will hold a celebration of her life on a later date. Arrangements are with French Funeral Home. Condolences and photos may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
