GOUVERNEUR – Gary V. Roberts, age 74, formerly of Gouverneur, passed away on November 11, 2023 at North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation in Massena.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Mullin's Restaurant on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements with French Funeral Home in Gouverneur. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Gary was born on March 24, 1949 in Gouverneur to the late Virgil R. and Helen M. (Nicholas) Roberts. He graduated from Gouverneur High School and served in the United States Navy. Gary married Nancy Zeller on May 30, 1970. She passed away on March 3, 2022.
Mr. Roberts worked for St. Joe Minerals and retired from Thomas Drilling and Blasting in Spofford, NH. He enjoyed hunting and ice-fishing, and loved animals.
Gary is survived by three children, Brad and Jennifer Roberts, Avery Roberts, and Wendy and Jerry King, 2 grandchildren, Jeffery and Larry, and a sister, Carol Austin.
