STAR LAKE – Sarah "Sally" Pelno, age 86, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Clifton-Fine Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Sally was born on November 14, 1936 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Charles and Lucy (Caufield) Northrup and she graduated from Heuvelton Central School. Sally was the widow of Merlin Foley. She married Robert Pelno on February 4, 1989.

Sally worked as a Nursing Assistant for Clifton-Fine Hospital for six years and was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Sally loved spending time with her family, reading, camping on Crooked Creek and enjoyed a glass of wine.

Sally's survivors include her husband, Robert Pelno, her children and their spouses, Daniel and Mary Ann Foley, Kenneth and Tricia Foley, and Denise and Jeff Regan, Clayton and Laurie Pelno, Clayton Pelno, Robert Pelno, Thomas and Jessica Pelno and Jennifer (Doug Roberts) Pelno. She is also survived by her sister, Mickey Greco and sister-in-law Shirley Northrup, and grandchildren, Justin (Kaitlyn) Foley, Holden (Emily Arnold) Foley, Adam (Jena Piazza) Foley, Brandon Foley, Marina (Justin LaRue) Regan, Brandi (Joshua) Kerling, Kimberly Davis, Brody, Henry, Rorey Pelno, Melissa and Jack Labuan and Hanna and Jessica Pelno.

Sally is predeceased by her parents; a sister, Peggy Dolan and brothers, Fred Northrup and Robert Northrup.

There will be no services. Arrangements are with French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
