NEWTON FALLS- Erik James Swinyer, age 25, of Newton Falls, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in the Town of Pamelia.

Erik was born on June 20, 1988 in Syracuse, NY to Ronald L. and Tiffany A. (Wood) Swinyer. He graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School in 2006. Erik worked in various restaurants, but most recently worked at St. Lawrence University doing maintenance.

He enjoyed playing drums and guitar, skate boarding, riding motorcycles and dirt bikes and playing video games.

Erik is survived by his mother, Tiffany of Newton Falls; a sister and her companion, Hailey Swinyer and Ryan Clement of Canton; four brothers, Ronald Jr. and Donna Swinyer of Lewiston, ME, Christopher and Janey Whisenant of Denver, CO, Nicholas Swinyer of Lakewood, CO and Kyle Burr of OK; a grandfather, James Wood of Oswegatchie; his girlfriend, Erica Powell of Plattsburg; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by his father, Ronald L. Swinyer, who passed away October 7, 2012 and a brother, Justin Valentine.
