Although I now live in Elmira, NY I still get the Gouverneur Tribune Press and saw that Mrs McCullough has passed. I will always remember Mrs McCullough as my favorite grade school teacher (actually, my favorite Gouverneur School teacher period!) I had her (or she had me) in the 6th grade at West Side School. I thought of myself as the "teacher's pet" although I'm not sure she thought of ME that way:-)
Condolences to her family and dearest friends and know that she made such a huge difference in the lives of so many young people.

Corky and Marge provided so many amazing memories for our entire family. Going to visit them was literally like going to Disney World or maybe better Rossie World. They opened up their hearts and home to us on so many occasions and gave us lifetime memories. Our prayers are with Mark Jim and Mike and the entire family.

I have known Marge for the 26 years I have lived in DeKalb. As a superintendent, I was many times on the same committees with her. We became friends over the years sharing pet stories and commiserating over our vehicle woes. For a number of years, Marge, Nancy Cappellino, Chris LaRose and I would go out to lunch for each of our birthdays and then for many other times, just to get together. During the pandemic, we would often talk on the phone to complain about whatever ailed us or what our pets were doing. I even tried to talk her into another peacock to add to her menagerie. She will be missed not only for being a great friend, but for the many years she gave to others through teaching and participating in school boards and their committees.

Marge McCullough is one of the most generous people I have ever met. She was generous in the way she evaluated situations, generous with her time, generous in her decisions, and generous with her views of the actions and behaviors of the people she worked or interacted with. I could tell that she was a good teacher: Marge took me under her wing when I first joined the BOCES Board. She did that "wing thing" without my even knowing it, because she was just there for me and encouraged me to go and learn things!
Marge had a great and foxy sense of humor. She was fun! She loved her animal pets. She helped kids through really tough life situations. I know that for a fact, because I know at least one of those "kids" whom she encouraged and loved.
The world needs more "Marges", but we are so fortunate to have had our Marge here in the North Country.
I will pray for her family, as you all go through this loss. Thank you for lending her to the rest of us! Love from Andy Webb.
Emery also sends his sympathy and love.

I was a 5th grade student of Marjorie Campbell McCulluoch. I remember calling her Miss Campbell. She married Corky while I was still her student. I loved her as a person and my teacher. So I gave her a wedding gift that my mother bought with me and gave it to her before her marriage. It was a cannister set. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and I'm sure she remained that way until her death.

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. She was so proud of all of you. I served on the School Board with Marge for 20 years. She had not yet retired from teaching and brought a perspective that the rest of the board did not have. She always spoke her mind. She was a good friend and even though we didn't see each other often, we took off visiting like we had seen each other yesterday. I'm sure you will he many good memories to help you with your grief. Sincerely Faye Felt
