Obituary of Terry P. Holly

EDWARDS- Terry P. Holly, age 47, of Edwards passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Calling hours will be on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home, Edwards. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Edwards. Condolences may be made online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com. Terry was born on August 30, 1966 in Gouverneur to the late Howard "Ronald" and Grace (Rice) Holly. He graduated from Edwards Central School in 1985. Growing up he worked as a teen on various farms. He then went to work at Cives Steel in Gouverneur until his snowmobile accident in January of 1991 that left his left arm permanently paralyzed. He then went back to college and graduated from SUNY Canton where he received an associate's degree in Electrical Contracting. Terry worked several jobs until 2001 when he worked as a cleaning and grounds coordinator for St. Lawrence NYSARC until 2009 when he left due to a back injury. Terry married Deborah (Tyree) Wehr on May 20, 2006 at Greenwood Falls. A previous marriage to Stephanie Willard ended in divorce. He was a past member of the Edwards Volunteer Fire Department and the Local Ironworkers Union. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and was an avid outdoorsman. He was also a NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the races. He loved being with his friends and family. Terry is survived by his wife, Deborah of Edwards; a daughter, Kendra M. and Alphus Fann of North Carolina; a step daughter, Kellie N. Wehr of Canton; two step sons, Shane P. Wehr of Syracuse and Kyle J. Wehr of Canton; a granddaughter, Kennedy Grace Fann; a step granddaughter, Adaliah Ann Wehr; three brothers, Ronald G. and Judy Holly of Benson, NC, John D. Holly of Edwards and Gregory L. and Carol Holly of Hermon; two sisters, Joanne L. Holly of Harrisville and Carol A. and Randy Masters of Toano, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Terry is predeceased by a step son, Jeremy P. Wehr. Donations may be made in Terry's memory to the Edwards Volunteer Fire Department, P.O.
