MACOMB- Walter O. Zeller, age 81, of Macomb, NY passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his home under the loving care of his family and St. Lawrence Valley Hospice. Walter was born on December 5, 1942 in Gouverneur, NY to the late John and Lorna (Jackson) Zeller. He married Alice Mitchell on February 4, 1962. Walter worked as a farmer and as a roofer, working for WCA in Syracuse and was part of the Roofers Local Union 195. He enjoyed fishing and working with animals on his hobby farm. Surviving is his wife, Alice; two sons and their spouses, Jason and Leonilo Zeller of Clearwater, FL and Roger and Britney Zeller of Pleasant Lake, NY; three daughters, Cindy Zeller of Macomb, Rose Zeller and her companion Nelson LaBarge of Hammond and Lorna Zeller and her companion Dean Matice of Macomb; a daughter-in-law, Jane Zeller of Fullerville; three sisters, Jackie Almond, Linda House and Janet Davis; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Walter is predeceased by his parents; a son, Walter O. Zeller Jr. and three grandchildren, Kyle Bell, Derick Kutt and Willa Jane Bogardus. There will be a celebration of Walter's life on April 27, 2024 from 12:00-4:00 at the home of Alice Zeller, 824 County Route 8, Hammond, NY 13646.
