HARRISVILLE- Donna M. Hughes, age 72, of Harrisville, NY passed away on Friday, May 29, 2026 at her home.

Donna was born on March 27, 1954 in Star Lake, NY to the late Frederick G. and Cecilia M. (LaParr) Marriam. She attended Clifton-Fine Central School, later receiving her GED. She married Harold J. Hughes on June 26, 1970. After 18 years, the marriage ended in divorce. Donna was a homemaker until moving to Utah, where she worked as a custodian at Tooele Army Depot until deciding to open a motorcycle dealership. However, due to the loss of family, she decided to move back to New York where she worked as a baker and waitress at the World-Famous Scanlon's Bakery. After her separation from her husband, Donna moved near her sister in Pennsylvania where she worked in the food service industry at Kmart. Once the store closed for good, she ventured into retail sales at JC Penney until she decided to move back to New York where she felt at home.

Donna had played on the women's softball league and women's bowling league. She enjoyed doing pottery, knitting, crocheting, latch hooking, macrame, playing cards, board games, bingo, reading romance novels, watching scary movies, cooking and baking. But more than anything, she loved being with her family and close friends.

Surviving is her domestic partner of 33 years, Paul Maravich; a son, Anthony J. "AJ" and Mui Hughes of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Tammy M. and Everette LaVancha of Harrisville, NY; six grandchildren, Alyssa (Jeff) Edick, Mitchell McIntosh, Wyatt LaVancha, Logan LaVancha and Jacob and Brandon Hughes; four great grandchildren, Abigail, Wesley and Cecilia Edick and Odin LaVancha; three siblings, Michael and Christine Marriam, Marjorie and Kenneth Beckman and Frederick and Angel Marriam and many nieces and nephews. Donna is predeceased by her parents and a brother, Douglas Marriam.
