FOWLER- Esther J. ("Friday") Trombley, age 82, of Fowler, NY passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at Gouverneur Hospital.

"Friday" (Esther) is survived by her children, Wanda (Justin "Skeeter") Brownell of Fine, NY and Michelle (Richard "Rick") Kentil of Oswegatchie, NY as well as her 9 grandchildren, Ryan (Hailey) Clement, Eric (Abbi) Pickering, Haily Brownell, RJ Sharpe, Deanna Sharpe, Gordon (Julia) Stearns, Nicole (Shawn) Warr, Kimbery (Jeffrey Crobar) O'connor, Rachelle (Mario) Gonzalas, 17 great grandchildren, her sister Mildred Rushlow and several nieces and nephews. Friday is predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard Trombley; a son Robert Stearns; a grandson, Andrew Stearns and six sisters, Leora (Don) Manely, Margaret (Lee) Haig, Helen (Ed) Parker, Joanne (John) Smith, Martha (Steven) Salls, and Dorothy (Brian) DeMars

"Friday" (Esther) was born on August 3, 1943 in Saranac Lake, NY to the late Charles and Evelyn (Durking) Curry. She attended Saranac Lake Central School. She married Scott Stearns shortly after high school which later ended in divorce. A few years later "Friday" married Michael J. Callaghan, who passed away in 1985. In her golden years she married Richard "Sonny" Trombley who passed away in 2006.

"Friday" (Esther) was a homemaker until she was an empty nester. She then began working as a housekeeper for the Newton Falls Hotel where she met her late husband "Sonny" (Richard). "Friday" in her younger years enjoyed bowling in the Friday night women's league. She also enjoyed working on puzzles, cooking, and playing shuffleboard with the girls. "Friday" was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary Mervin Eno Post 1539

In keeping with "Friday's" (Esther's) wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion on Saturday June 13th at 1pm. All her friends and family are welcome to attend.
