MACOMB- Harold D. Bresett Jr. (Junior Bresett), age 81 of Macomb, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at home under the loving care of his family and St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.

There will be calling hours for Junior on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from 11:00-1:00 at French Funeral Home, Gouverneur. His funeral service will immediately start at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Warrington officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Lake Cemetery in Macomb. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.

Harold was born on January 12, 1945 in Gouverneur, NY to the late Harold D. and Mary R. (Macaulay) Bresett, Sr. He attended elementary school in Brasie Corners and graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1963. On July 3, 1964, he married Mary Washburn at the Pierces Corners Parsonage by Reverend Keysor.

Harold and Mary owned and operated a dairy farm, Harmar Farms, in Macomb all their married lives till 2019. He had also worked at Paul Jones Farm Supply for several years from 1967 to the early 1970s. He also would work as a mechanic on many friends and family tractors and farm equipment. He was always there for any neighbor who needed help no matter the time of day. Harold enjoyed farming, hunting, repairing farm equipment, antique tractors and he loved animals. He loved spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving is his wife, Mary; their children, Stephen and Melinda Bresett and Charlotte and Eric Theobald; a sister, Sharon Bergman; four grandchildren, Trey Theobald, Laura Kaufman, and Allison and Valerie Bresett; three great grandchildren, Olivia, Gianna and Emerson Theobald and several nieces and nephews. Harold is predeceased by his parents and a son, Robert Bresett.
